2011 NSW Volunteer of the Year Award Opens for Nominations

The 2011 NSW Volunteer of the Year Award opens for nominations on Monday, 9 May 2011 and will close for nominations on Wednesday, 31 August 2011 (one month earlier than previous years). The the Hon. Victor Dominello will launch the Award (and National Volunteer Week) at the 2011 Introduction to Volunteering Seminar and Mini-Expo being held at Parliament House the morning of Monday, 9 May 2011. IYV+10 Award for Volunteer Management added to 2011 NSW Volunteer of the Year Award Program

Thanks for $12,000 funding from Citizenship and Communities Minister, the Hon. Victor Dominello, a special award for Volunteer Managers has been added to the 2011 NSW Volunteer of the Year Award Program - the 2011 NSW Excellence in NFP Volunteer Management Award.

Citizenship and Communities Minister, the Hon. Victor Dominello has pledged an additional $12,000 in State Government funding for the 2011 NSW Volunteer of the Year Award. Mr Dominello, who has responsibility for the Volunteering portfolio, will officially open nominations for the Awards on Monday (9 May) to mark the start of National Volunteer Week which runs from May 9–15.
